Hello Parents, Thank you to the parents who have already donated to my Teachers Pay Teachers class fund that I mentioned last Monday in my email. It is greatly appreciated. As a reminder that link is located at the bottom of my email. I emailed out a sign up genius link for volunteering in the classroom last week. I had my class captain create a sign up that has individual days instead of a weekly commitment as I know some parents aren’t able to commit each week. I would love to have you come help whenever you can so please take a look and sign up: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0a4bada928a2fe3-volunteer Calendar: December 20: Holiday Sing Around for Parents @ 8:10, Pajama Day, Early out @ 12:45 pm, No second breakfast or snack time today December 23 – January 3: Winter Break, No School January 8: All Late Work due - this is only three days after we come back from Winter Break so please look at grades and see if your child has any missing assignments. Hello parents, I use an online website called Teachers Pay Teachers as a resource to support what we are learning in class. That website has many worksheets, activities, presentations, etc. that the students enjoy doing in class. Many of the resources I use cost $5 or less and that money adds up over the year, so I have created a "Class Fund" that you can donate money to and I can use that money towards those resources. I can guarantee that the money will be put to good use! And every $10 you donate = 1 volunteer hour. Here is the link, and it is also included in my signature at the bottom. Thank you! https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/ClassFund/Ms-Hansen-28518?utm_campaign=ClassFund%20Page Just a reminder from a few weeks ago, there are many students who do not have their own pair of headphones at school. On our supply list for the beginning of the school year we asked each student to come with a pair of headphones. I have some in my classroom, but students keep complaining that they don’t work. They are brand new, so I am not sure what is happening. I know that if students have their own headphones they take better care of them. If you can, please send a pair of headphones with your student if you haven’t already. Hello Parents, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed time with your family. I hope you stayed safe in the snow and were able to enjoy some of it. It is good to be back at school and I hope we can stay focused and willing to work for these 3 weeks before Christmas Break. Just a reminder from a few weeks ago, there are many students who do not have their own pair of headphones at school. On our supply list for the beginning of the school year we asked each student to come with a pair of headphones. I have some in my classroom, but students keep complaining that they don’t work. If you can, please send a pair of headphones with your student if you haven’t already. Calendar: December 6: 5K Pie Assembly @ 1:30 pm December 20: Holiday Sing Around for Parents @ 8:10, Pajama Day, Early out @ 12:45 pm December 23 – January 3: Winter Break, No School Literacy: This week will be Wonders Unit 2 Week 5. The weekly homework packet is due on Friday. Your child should be reading 20 minutes every night. Please practice the spelling words and vocabulary words with your student every night. Our spelling patterns are getting more difficult each week, so it will be very beneficial if you practice the words at home. The spelling test will be on Friday. Please try to have your student do 15-20 minutes of Imagine Learning at home each week. I sent home a Scholastic Book Order Catalog with each student today. There are many fun books that you can choose to buy for your students if you wish. You can order them online and then they will come to the classroom and be sent home with the kids. The due date is December 9, next Monday. That way they will arrive to the school by December 19, just in time for Christmas break. Spelling words:
