Hello Parents!
It was wonderful to talk to many of you last week at Parent Teacher Conferences. If you were not able to come in, I have sent the handouts home with your student. You can reach out to me with any questions or if you would like to come in and meet with me after school one day. Many of you expressed a concern about the volunteer hours. Just a reminder that you need 30 hours and there are a few ways to fulfill those hours. You can sign up to come in and volunteer in the classroom on my sign-up genius that is at the bottom of this email or you can make donations to our classroom. Here are some things that would be helpful to have now: crayons, pencil top erasers, small prizes for our prize box (dollar tree), scotch tape. You can also look at my Amazon wish list (link at the bottom of the email) to find other donation items. You can also donate money towards my Teachers Pay Teachers class fund (link at the bottom of the email). Hello Parents!
Parent teacher conferences (PTCs) are coming up this week on Wednesday, March 4th and Thursday, March 5th. Spring PTC’s provide an occasion for a mid-year check in and offer an opportunity to collaborate on your child’s education. Please uses the sign ups below to sign up for a time to meet with me. When signing up to meet with a teacher, I would like to remind you to focus on signing up with your child’s literacy and math teachers and sign up for homeroom only as necessary. My Wednesday slots are full so please take a look at Thursday and see if that works for you. I look forward to meeting with you this week. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080b48a9a92caaf49-thursday1 Calendar: March 4 – 5: Parent Teacher Conferences and Early Out March 6: No School March 13: Spring Pictures (Optional, casual, siblings) March 16: 1st Grade In School Field Trip: Ogden Nature Center March 17: St. Patrick’s Day – Students can wear one green item March 18: Term 3 Late Work Due March 20: Term 3 Ends and Kindergarten Roundup (for incoming kindergarten) @ 9:30 March 23: Term 4 Begins March 27: Early Out, Dollar Dress Down Day March 30 – April 3: Spring Break Literacy: This week will be Wonders Unit 4 Week 3.
