Hello Parents, Many of you have already signed up for Parent Teacher Conferences. Those conferences are meant to discuss data regarding Literacy and Math and other concerns/questions. If I only have your child for homeroom you DO NOT need to schedule a conference with me, as there is no data to discuss for homeroom. If you are concerned about behavior you can schedule a time, but I know meeting with three teachers can be a lot, so once again, you do not need to sign up for a conference if I only have your child for homeroom. Please reach out to me with any questions regarding parent teacher conferences. I look forward to seeing you and talking with you in two weeks. We are a month and a half into the school year, and we have been enjoying the time we have spent with your children so far! They are learning a lot and I can already see the growth. First grade is a big year for learning and for gaining independence. We greatly appreciate the support that you give your student every day. However, we feel that it is important that first graders walk to their classrooms in the morning on their own to gain that independence. We understand that it may be hard for some students at first, but after enough practice of doing it on their own it will feel very comfortable.
